As an authoress, I am a very visual sort of person and in general, I like to have a photo reference for most things I write about. The outfits my characters wear, the food they eat, the cars they drive, even the cigarettes they smoke.
One thing that's been giving me hell is visualizing the Jackson ladies for my story. All of their appearances are based on silent film stars to help me have an abundance of reference materials in the way of dressing, hairstyles, etc. I want to put it in one place so I don't have to keep skimming through various documents anytime I need to write about one.
